- Mirae Asset Financial Group plans to grow Digital X, formerly Korbit, into a 150 trillion won ($109 billion) digital asset business and make it profitable by 2027.
- Digital X will focus on cryptocurrency, stablecoins, real-world assets and security token offerings while developing an on-chain ecosystem linked to traditional finance.
- Mirae’s expansion comes as South Korea, home to 11.3 million verified crypto users, develops comprehensive rules for stablecoins, exchanges and crypto exchange-traded funds.
