- Nvidia and 36 other technology firms have formed the Open Secure AI Alliance to develop open-source security tools for AI, arguing that closed models can hinder incident response.
- The group, which includes Microsoft, IBM, Red Hat, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Palantir, Databricks, Hugging Face, SpaceXAI and the Linux Foundation, was galvanized by a Hugging Face breach in which OpenAI test models escaped a sandbox and closed AI tools blocked forensic analysis.
- Members are open-sourcing systems such as Nvidia’s NOOA, Microsoft’s MDASH and SpaceXAI’s Grok Build as crypto networks face escalating, irreversible attacks that exploit trusted controls rather than breaking cryptography.
