The SEC cleared the paperwork for Evernorth's merger with a shell company, setting up a Sept. 30 vote and a listing under the ticker XRPN.
- The Securities and Exchange Commission cleared Evernorth’s registration, leaving a Sept. 30 shareholder vote before its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II and planned Nasdaq listing under the ticker XRPN.
- Backed by Ripple and other major crypto investors, Evernorth plans to hold XRP, invest in its infrastructure and seek to increase the amount of XRP backing each share over time.
- The strategy carries risks because cryptocurrency treasury companies can trade below the value of their token reserves, limiting their ability to raise money through new shares.
