The London-based multinational bank with $850 billion in assets announced it will distribute Anchorpoint's HKDAP to eligible clients and partners.

  • Standard Chartered has become the first bank to distribute one of Hong Kong’s two regulated stablecoins, the Hong Kong dollar-backed HKDAP issued by Anchorpoint Financial.
  • The bank will initially help eligible institutional clients and partners integrate HKDAP, with planned uses including fund subscriptions, asset-manager settlements, internal transfers and cross-border payments.
  • Anchorpoint began a limited institutional rollout on Aug. 12, while fellow licensee HSBC is preparing its stablecoin for the second half of 2026.
